The Founders of the metabolic balance® nutritional programme

The internal medicine and nutrition expert, Dr. Wolf Funfack, developed the metabolic balance® nutrition programme in collaboration with food technology scientist, Silvia Bürkle. Based on his many years of experience in the area of nutrition, obesity and related metabolic illnesses, the foundation of metabolic balance GmbH & Co. KG corporation Nr. Munich, Germany, was formed in 2002. metabolic balance® has grown globally since and has made an impact on thousands of individual lives that have made use of this method to re-establish and successfully maintain a balanced metabolism and a continued sense of well-being.

Dr. med. Wolf Funfack

Following his dissertation on the subject of “Obesity in infants and young children,” Dr. Funfack was engaged in the practice of internal medicine and nutritional medicine for 25 years. His many years of experience with different dietary programmes prompted him to search for an effective and lasting method that would restore a properly balanced metabolism and to successfully make long-term weight management a reality. After intensive research he developed the metabolic balance® nutritional programme in collaboration with the food technology engineer, Silvia Bürkle.

Nutritional Technology Engineer Silvia Bürkle

As a professional food technology engineer (with a specialism in pathophysiology and dietetics), Silvia Bürkle achieved extensive experience during 15 years in product development and quality assurance of the food industry. She directed nutritional counselling programmes and cooking courses for a number of health insurance companies. In addition, she has been a leading lecturer for the training programme in metabolic balance® and is a consultant to Natural Healing Practitioner Academies and Secondary Schools.

Birgit Funfack, natural healing practitioner

Birgit Funfack, has been engaged in health care practices as a Natural Health Practitioner and Seminar Lecturer for over 20 years. Besides her work as an NLP (Neuro-linguistic Programming) Master, she also specialises in the area of psychokinesiology. She has engaged in overweight issues and health nutrition since childhood; partly through personal experience and naturally through her involvement with her husband, Dr. Funfack, and sister, Ms. Silvia Bürkle. Since the founding of metabolic balance GmbH, she has been committed to her role as Managing Director.
