In 2006, my life changed forever when my young son was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. What I believed was a healthy, happy childhood suddenly became filled with fear, questions, and uncertainty. I was blindsided—not only by the diagnosis itself, but by how little I understood. I didn’t know there were different types of diabetes, and I struggled to make sense of a condition described as having no clear cause and no cure.

Desperate for answers, I began searching for information, but the more I looked, the more overwhelmed I became. Conflicting opinions and endless online content left me confused and anxious. I knew I needed real understanding, not speculation. That moment became the turning point that changed the direction of my life.

I returned to school to study holistic nutrition, driven by a need to understand the deeper connection between food, lifestyle, and health. Becoming a Registered Holistic Nutritionist gave me clarity, purpose, and a sense of peace. It transformed my grief into motivation and my confusion into knowledge.

While I cannot change my son’s diagnosis, I chose to honour our journey by helping others. Today, my work as a health educator and coach allows me to support individuals and families in becoming informed, proactive, and confident in their health choices. My mission is rooted in compassion, education, and the belief that understanding empowers people to take control of their health—one step at a time.

Since 2015, I’ve worked as a Health Educator in clinical settings alongside family doctors throughout Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, Guelph, and Toronto. I specialize in diabetes and cholesterol management and am passionate about helping people understand nutrition in a way that actually makes sense.

With so much conflicting information online, it’s no wonder people feel overwhelmed. I cut through the noise by offering simple, practical education and real-world insights based on years of clinical experience. My straightforward, no-nonsense approach has helped many people lower blood sugar, balance cholesterol, and manage their weight successfully.

Discovering the Metabolic Balance® program was a natural fit for my practice. It allows me to provide clear, step-by-step guidance that aligns with my philosophy and helps clients achieve lasting results.

I believe in a practical, whole-person approach to health and wellness. I look at lifestyle, nutrition, daily habits, and overall balance to help support lasting health. Through simple lifestyle coaching, I show how small daily changes can lead to meaningful results. My goal is to inspire people to take an active role in their health and move forward with confidence, one step at a time.
