Betsy Black Holistic Wellness Coach and Certified Metabolic Balance Practitioner
I help women in their 30s to 60s navigate the changes of perimenopause and menopause with clarity, confidence, and calm. My approach blends the science of metabolism and hormone health with the wisdom of traditional holistic practices, creating balance in the body that leads to lasting energy, sustainable weight loss, and a deep sense of well-being.
My work is rooted in both data and intuition. Through Metabolic Balance labs and individualized nutrition plans, I help clients uncover the “why” behind their symptoms, from weight gain and fatigue to brain fog and disrupted sleep, and I guide them toward practical solutions that work for their real lives.
I bring more than two decades of experience in movement, wellness, and women’s health to my practice. I am a Yoga Alliance Registered 500-hour Yoga Teacher, a Certified Stott Pilates Instructor, a Master Usui Reiki Healer, and trained in Kinesiology, Functional Nutrition, Ayurveda, Breathwork, Meditation, and mind-body practices. I also hold a Master’s Degree in Montessori Education, which informs my compassionate, client-centered approach.
What truly differentiates my work is the fusion of science and soul. I pair functional nutrition and systems biology with ancient wisdom traditions like yoga, somatics, and Ayurvedic principles. I also bring extensive experience in advocating for proper medical and insurance support, helping women communicate clearly with providers and receive the care they deserve.
I live in rural Oregon with my two children, four dogs, two cats, and two goats, and I believe that healing, much like nature, unfolds in layers and seasons.
My mission is simple: to help women feel vibrant, strong, and at home in their bodies again, no longer dismissed but deeply understood.

At The Rebel Yogi, I help women finally understand what their bodies have been trying to tell them. My work blends the precision of Metabolic Balance and functional nutrition with the intuitive support of yoga, Ayurveda, and nervous system care. This creates a path that feels clear, doable, and deeply supportive.
Many women come to me feeling unheard, confused, and exhausted from trying to piece their health together on their own. They have been told their symptoms and labs are normal, or that it's something they simply have to accept. With me, women finally feel seen and validated. I listen fully, I look deeper, and together we uncover the real reasons they feel so out of balance.
A core part of my practice is The CALM Method, my signature framework that integrates science, structure, and compassionate guidance.
