Hello! I have been working as a Registered Dietitian for 12 years, and in the health and wellness sphere for almost 20 years. I have a wealth of knowledge that I bring to the Metabolic Balance program. Beyond just what the program teaches, I help you navigate nutritional science to optimize your metabolic health, weight loss journey, and any other health issues that you may be dealing with. Your success is my success, and I will be with you every step of the way. I specialist in various facets of health, not limited to digestive health, metabolic health (fatty liver, hypertension, cholesterol, blood sugar), and mental health.

Hi, I’m Valerie!

With over a decade of experience, including in clinical settings, and private practice, I have a wealth of experience that I apply in my every day practice, while continually expanding my knowledge and staying up-to-date with the latest research. 

My passion lies in utilizing food as medicine for both treatment and prevention. Given that it is an integral part of our every day life, I believe that most people do not take the time to truly appreciate the impact that it has on our health. My goal is to help individuals optimize their nutrition in a manner that allows them to enjoy food, while supporting their health in the best way possible. 

I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to nutrition. My practice is centered on tailoring recommendations to each individual, rather than simply repeating conventional guidelines. I also feel strongly about prevention, and believe that everyone can learn about best practices to prevent issues before they arise. My approach integrates nutrition with behavioral and psychological strategies. I don’t just tell you what to do — I help you understand how to make changes sustainable, navigate cravings, and build long-term habits. My ultimate goal is to not only improve your health through the power of nutrition, but to empower you. My satisfaction comes from helping my clients achieve their goals.
