MY STORY
My path to becoming a holistic nutritionist began with my own health.
At 22, I was diagnosed with hypoglycemia and struggled with energy crashes, blood sugar swings, and intense sugar cravings. Around the same time, my mother was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, and I saw firsthand how confusing and overwhelming nutrition advice can be when you’re told to “just eat better” without a clear, personalized plan.
I was already working professionally in horticulture and deeply connected to food through growing it. But my health journey changed how I saw it. Food wasn’t just something we grow, it was something that could heal, stabilize, and restore the body. That realization led me back to school to study holistic nutrition with a focus on blood sugar regulation, hormone balance, and metabolic health.
Through my education and clinical training, I became passionate about helping women understand what is actually happening in their bodies, especially during hormonal transitions like perimenopause, when cravings, fatigue, weight gain, and insulin resistance can appear suddenly and without explanation.
What I love most about this work is giving women clarity and confidence. No more guessing. No more willpower battles. No more feeling broken. I help my clients understand their physiology, support their metabolism, and follow a way of eating that works with their hormones, not against them.
My background in both horticulture and holistic nutrition allows me to bridge “soil to self,” connecting real food with real healing. Women choose to work with me for education, structure, and support from a coach who understands blood sugar, hormones, and the emotional side of change because I’ve lived it, studied it, and now guide others through it.

Sarah Seguin is the founder of Nutritional Gardens and creator of The Sugar Reset Method, a program powered by Metabolic Balance® and personalized food education. She helps women in perimenopause rebalance blood sugar, reduce sugar cravings, and feel calm and confident around food again, without dieting, restriction, or relying on willpower.
Sarah works with women who feel like their bodies changed overnight. Energy crashes, stubborn weight gain, intense sugar cravings, hypoglycemia, and “borderline” blood sugar results often appear as hormones shift and insulin sensitivity changes. What used to work no longer does, and being told to simply “cut sugar” only leads to frustration and burnout.
The Sugar Reset Method was created for this exact season of life. It supports women navigating prediabetes or type 2 diabetes, hormonal cravings, fatigue, and the confusion of what to eat in perimenopause. Many of her clients are drawn to whole, seasonal foods and sustainable living but need structure, clarity, and a plan that works with their changing metabolism.
Her approach is metabolically balanced and hormone-aware, focusing on stabilizing blood sugar, improving insulin sensitivity, supporting digestive and hormonal health, and calming sugar addiction patterns. Each plan is personalized using health history and, when available, blood work, and is designed to create steady energy, fewer cravings, and long-term metabolic resilience.
With a background in horticulture and holistic nutrition, Sarah bridges “soil to self,” helping women not only change what they eat, but understand their bodies, their cravings, and their hormones in a new way. The result is not temporary control, but lasting stability, confidence, and freedom around food.
